| Our Pump Datasheet is an Excel 97
template that can be used to specify centrifugal pumps. It
incorporates calculations for liquid friction pressure drop, static
head, and NPSH-available. It also estimates the pumping horsepower and
bhp (if you enter the pump efficiency). American units only. As with
all templates, this one uses red cells to indicate where data entry is
required/allowed.
We've included a viscosity correction datasheet within the same
template (a separate Tab). It uses the Hydraulic Institute method to
predict how a centrifugal pump will perform with higher viscosity
fluids (up to about 1000 cP). Note well: a new method has been
proposed that may be more accurate than the HI method. We are
developing a template to utilize the new method.

thumbnail at left is the Viscosity Correction Datasheet. It gets most
of its data directly from the Pump Datasheet. After entering several
points from your selected pump's performance curve, this datasheet
predicts a new performance curve for your high viscosity fluid.
